Communicate more freely with your clients, and see all of your messages with each client in one place, at one time with enhanced Direct Messaging. Here are some tips for using this feature, along with some commonly asked questions.
Where can I see my messages and interactions with my clients?
The “Communications” tab will not only be where your messaging will occur and be recorded, but it will include a record of all of your past orders with the client as well.
How will I know that I have a new message from a client?
There are several ways to know when a client messages you.
When your client sends a new message, an indicator bubble will appear in the menu, as well as next to the client in your client list. If your client has sent more than one message, it will still only show one indication.
We will also send you an email when you receive a new message from a client. In this email, you will find a button to click that will take you to the specific client card in your Communications tab.
Also, you will receive an in-app message when a new communication from your client comes in and you are using the app. Additionally, when a new message from a client is received, you will be sent a push notification. Clicking on this push notification will open the client card on your Communications tab.
Please note the following:
- If you are active in the app, or engaged in a live session you will not be interrupted with a push notification.
- If you happen to be engaged in a live session when a communication comes in, the in-app message will only appear when the session is over.
- If you are currently on the client card, and a new message from that client comes in, you will need to reload the page to see that client’s new message to you.
How can I send a new message to a client?
Simply look at the individual’s client card and a keyboard will open up allowing you to send messages within the context of your communication record with them.
How will I know that I have unread messages from my clients?
Your unread messages from clients will be listed first in the Communications tab, followed by your most recent messages.
What is the Communications feed?
Your Communications feed is where all of your orders and messages are recorded between you and your client.
Clicking on a client on your list will open the client card. From there you can tap the Communications tab to see a chronological list of your orders and messages with that client.
The feed is displayed in chronological order, with the most recent message appearing at the bottom. Scroll up to read older messages.
Clicking on any order in the feed will open the details of that order.
You are able to filter the Communication tab to show only orders with the client, or only messages, if you wish.
Why can’t I send a message to my client?
You will not be able to send a message to a client if:
- You have been suspended, rejected, or are in a “Needs Improvement” state regarding requested profile changes.
- You have messaged the client 5 times sequentially without any response from the client. If that client does message you or order with you, you will once again be able to send them messages.
- You have received a negative review from the client.
