What is a PayPal fee? Will PayPal take a percentage of my pay?

Paypal charges a fee of 2.9% per deposit into your account, with a maximum total fee of $1.00 per deposit for US-based advisors.

Will Purple Ocean send me a copy of my earnings, a 1099, or a W-2 for tax purposes?

Purple Ocean doesn't provide this to you. Since we pay through Paypal, they do. Tax laws are constantly changing and be updated, but you can get the most up to date information from PayPal by clicking right here.

Can you provide us with statements of our earnings? 

No, we cannot send this to you. You can view your statements in the app and in the Advisor Suite, in the Revenues section. 

What exactly do I earn?

Advisors earn 36% of the order total.

How do I initiate a withdraw?

To initiate a withdrawal, tap on the “Withdraw” button in the revenues screen. You will need at least $35 in cleared revenue to start the process. You may do so once every 24 hours if you have sufficient funds to do so.

After that, the payment from Purple Ocean should land in your Paypal account within 3 business days.

The one exception is if you accumulate $600 or more in your withdrawable funds, our system will initiate an automatic withdrawal. This is to prevent advisors from having to pay steeper fees for the withdrawal on PayPal.
